Chain 1, tie off
Using a yarn needle and the tail, close up any remaining hole and weave in the end.

Now we have the finished body of the Gingerbread Man.

Bow
Using red or green yarn, tie a simple bow around the neck and trim any excess yarn. You could use a dot of super glue if you're concerned about the bow being pulled out.
I think this would also be cute with ribbon.

Bag Charm/Keychain/Ornament
Using the yarn color of your choice,
Place a slip knot on your hook and join on the back side of Round 1 with a slip stitch.
Chain 40
Slip stitch again into the stitch where you began.
Chain 1, tie off and weave in the ends.
You can adjust the size of the hanger by increasing or decreasing the chain stitches.

And here we have an adorable Crochet Mini Gingerbread Man! Feel free to get creative with the colors, the face, and the bag charm variations. These little cookies are perfect as rear-view mirror car hangers, backpack buddies, or Christmas tree ornaments.
